Sunday Recap for November 6, 2016:
Living As Sons And Daughters

This Saturday, November 12!

7-9 PM at 2222 Bush St.

Please join us this Saturday for A Night of Musical Worship! Many of our Music Ministry volunteers have been faithfully and eagerly preparing a night of worship and praise through song and music.

Whether you are struggling or secure, it will be an excellent opportunity to come together as one family in Christ and remember and express with our entire being the goodness and sovereignty of God.

We sing because we are thankfulto fight against the evil one; and in submission and reverence for Christ. As our voices ring, may it be on earth as it is in heaven!

We look forward to seeing you there!
Mission Highlight: Praise God for the new members who were affirmed this Sunday at Christ Church: Luke, Stephanie, Jacob (also standing in for Rebecca), and Justin!

They affirmed their intention, with God’s help, to live loving and holy lives that reflect Christ; to maintain unity with and mutually encourage others in the body as they serve together; to commit themselves to growing in the truth of God’s Word, and to pray for our church and all in it, as well as those who have not yet put their faith in Christ. Pastor Toby, on behalf of existing members, affirmed the commitment of all to love, encourage, teach, admonish, comfort and exhort them to grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ and His Word.

"I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me." (From Jesus' prayer in John 17:20)
Question #44: What is baptism?

Answer: Baptism is the washing with water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; it signifies and seals our adoption into Christ, our cleansing from sin, and our commitment to belong to the Lord and to his church.
This week's Sermon: "Living As Sons And Daughters" (1 Corinthians 13:4-13)

Thank you Lynn for visiting us from Hands at Work and sharing the Word of God with us on Sunday! We are so thankful for our partnership with Hands at Work and look forward to living out our identity in Christ together for his kingdom.

Thank God that we were able to collect $755.10 for Hands at Work through our Giving Jars!!! We're going to collect one more time this coming Sunday, November 13, for those who weren't here this last Sunday or forgot!
Please remember to bring canned foods for a holiday food drive! We have two Sundays left before Thanksgiving (11/13, 11/20), and afterwards, we will also collect for Christmas. This is a great chance to share out of the abundance you have in Christ with those that may feel pain and hardship during the holidays. The barrel can be found in the lobby!
