Sunday Recap for August 27, 2017:
And You Will Be My Witnesses

Intentional Parents Conference: The next generation of children can change the world. They matter—to God, to you, and to the church. Reality SF and Epic Church are hosting the Intentional Parents Conference with Phil and Diane Comer! This is a two-day conference created to give parents an in-depth Biblical understanding of what it looks like to raise passionate Jesus followers. The Comers will come alongside parents to offer encouragement, hope, and practical tools for parenting. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, hear stories of others who have gone before you, and formulate your own plan for a successful road ahead in parenting.

Mission Highlight: Thank you, Brian, for sharing about District 8 and leading us in prayer for this neighborhood and Supervisor Jeff Sheehy. As followers of Jesus, just as Jesus was sent to us, we are sent to our communities to share the love of God in Christ, and to serve as Jesus served.

District 8 Prayer Sheet
  • District 8 encompasses Glen Park, the Castro, Eureka Valley, Noe Valley, Duboce Triangle, Diamond Heights, Corona Heights, Buena Vista, parts of the Inner Mission, and Mission-Dolores.
  • District 8 is estimated to be 76% White, 13% Hispanic, 9% Asian, and 5% Black.
  • Less than 20% of the residents of District 8 were born overseas.
  • Over 60% of the residents of District 8 have a bachelors degree or higher.
  • Ideas for prayer: Pastor Gordon Wohlers and First Christian Church in Duboce Triangle, Reality San Francisco’s ministry in the Castro.
Let's continue to pray for and love and serve our city!
Question 34: Since we are redeemed by grace alone, through Christ alone, must we still do good works and obey God’s Word?

Answer: Yes, because Christ, having redeemed us by his blood, also renews us by his Spirit; so that our lives may show love and gratitude to God; so that we may be assured of our faith by the fruits; and so that by our godly behavior others may be won to Christ.
This Week's Sermon: “And You Will Be My Witnesses" (Acts 1:1-11)

Thank you Pastor Eddie for sharing about being witnesses! For those of you who missed it, the sermon recording will be uploaded into the sermon series, Stand Alone Sermons next Sunday (9/3).
