Sunday Recap for March 11, 2018:
The Truest Reality

Easter Baptisms on Easter Sunday, April 1st!

Baptism is a holy sacrament, a public declaration of faith by followers of Jesus Christ. It is an act of worship, obedience, and celebration in a believer's new life in Christ.

If you are a follower of Christ who has not been baptized and would like to be, or if you have any questions about what it means to be baptized and would like to know more, please
email usl!! We are having baptisms on Easter Sunday (4/1), so we request your response by March 18th!
Hospitality Volunteers Needed!

A really wonderful way to serve the church is by joining the Hospitality Team! We are looking for:

Set Up / Take Down people to help set up the church and take it down after service
Greeters warmly welcome everyone and help people get connected

Please email Katrina if you are interested!
Question #7: What does the law of God require?

Answer: Personal, perfect, and perpetual obedience; that we love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; and love our neighbor as ourselves. What God forbids should never be done and what God commands should always be done.

“Those who read the press of their group and listen to the radio of their group are constantly reinforced in their allegiance. They learn more and more that their group is right, that its actions are justified; thus their beliefs are strengthened. At the same time, such propaganda contains elements of criticism and refutation of other groups, which will never be read or heard by a member of another group...Thus we see before our eyes how a world of closed minds establishes itself, a world in which everybody talks to himself, everybody constantly views his own certainty about himself and the wrongs done him by the Others - a world in which nobody listens to anybody else.”
― Jacques Ellul, Propaganda: The Formation of Men's Attitudes

“Love in Practice is a harsh and dreadful thing compared to love in dreams.”
― Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

“The disunity of the church is a visible contradiction to the greater reality of who we are in Christ.”
― John Stott, “Unity and Diversity, Ephesians 4”

Main Idea: Live the truest reality.
