Mission Highlight: Thank you Vanessa for sharing about District 3 where she lives and works. Vanessa shared about different non-profits and church plants in her neighborhood and district:

"- A church that had been meeting in Nob Hill for several years called King’s Cross recently merged with Citizens, led by a friend of ours CJ Bergman.
- A nonprofit that I have volunteered with for a number of years called the Chinese Progressive Association. They do workers-rights advocacy with the immigrant population and social justice leadership training for youth. Through getting to know the organization and staff, God has given me greater conviction to pursue justice as an extension of my faith.
- In North Beach, Jon and Melissa Brackett, who’ve been a part of the Christ church community, is planting a church and focusing on building relationships and getting to know the community.
- Another brand new church to North Beach is Liberty Church, a plant from New York that launched public services at the beginning of this year. I’m encouraged that they’ll be doing a public Easter service right on Broadway in between the slew night clubs.
- Lastly, our next door neighbors and friends Jen & Markus Haessuer, who work with Youth with a Mission, are missionaries for the North Beach neighborhood. They have done phenomenal work building trust and community over the past 6 years they've lived in the neighborhood. They recently helped to organize a worship and prayer night that 50 people from different churches attended!"

Then Vanessa led us in prayer for District 3. Let's continue to live with intention to serve our city as Jesus serves, to know our city and neighborhoods that we live in work in, and continue to pray for our city!

"God, You know and love all of the residents and tourists that walk the streets of District 3. Thank you for gathering your people for the recent worship and prayer night in North Beach. It’s a beautiful thing for believers to be unified and I pray we will be inspired to love our one another and neighbors more as a result. I ask that you’d provide hope and peace for employees of the 10 businesses’ and tenants of the 8 apartments affected by the recent fire in the neighborhood. Please grant Jen & Markus Haeusser wisdom as they discern which new coffee shop to host their bible study and ministry. Bless the Brackett’s and the leaders of Liberty Church as they grow churches in District 3; may they have humility to love people and courage to speak the truth. Help us to believe and rejoice in your promise from Isaiah 9:7, that “Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end. Amen.”

Question #13: Can anyone keep the law of God perfectly?

Answer: Since the fall, no mere human has been able to keep the law of God perfectly, but consistently breaks it in thought, word, and deed.
Link to this Week's Sermon: The Likeness of God” (Ephesians 4:17-32)

“All humans have been created to be reflecting beings, and they will reflect whatever they are ultimately committed to, whether the true God or some other object in the created order…we resemble what we revere, either for ruin or restoration.” (G.K. Beale, We Become What We Worship)

“Since Christians believed that Christ was a living person whose presence was mediated by the proclamation and teaching about him, learning Christ involved not only learning about, but also being shaped by, the risen Christ who was the source of a new way of life as well as of a new relationship with God.” (Andrew T. Lincoln)

Main Idea: Knowing Christ moves you from futility to flourishing.
