Bible Story from John 8:1-11

Review Questions for Younger Kids (K-2)

1.      What kinds of things did Jesus teach people while He was on earth? (God is Good, God is in Charge of Everything, Jesus was on the earth to save sinners)

2.     While Jesus was teaching one day, who came running up to Him? (Some important leaders and teachers in the town)

3.     Who did the teachers and leaders bring to Jesus? (a woman)

4.     What did the leaders and teachers want to do to the woman that they brought to Jesus? (They wanted to kill her.)

5.     Why did these leaders and teachers want to kill the woman? (They wanted to punish her because they caught her sinning.)

6.     Did Jesus let the teachers and leaders kill the woman? (No)

7.     Did Jesus kill this woman to punish her for her sins? (No)

8.     What did Jesus do instead of punishing the woman that was sinning? (He told her that she was forgiven from her sins.)

9.     Who is a sinner? (Everyone)

10. Who came to save sinners? (Jesus)

11. How did Jesus save sinners? (By coming to earth and dying on the cross)

Review Questions for Older Kids (Grades 3-5)

1.     Let’s think back to your circle question with Mr. Mike.  Is kindness Jesus gives based on what the person has done or who we easily like? (No, she was a sinner)

2.     How are we like the woman? (We are also sinners, as evidenced by no on in the crowd being able to cast the first stone)

3.     What did Jesus do to be kind to the woman? (He did not punish her as she deserved)

4.     Did Jesus say it was okay to sin?  How do you know? (He told her not to sin anymore)

5.     When you have messed up, do you want to go to a mean person, or a kind person?  Why is Jesus the best person to go to when we have sinned?  (He is the kindest)

6.     If the Spirit of God helps us to be kind like Jesus, what areas or moments in our life can we ask God to help us to be kind, as he was to us?
