Link to this week's Sermon: " Made to Image God" ( Genesis 1:26-31)
We are image bearers of God and any contemplation about the purpose of our lives or this world ought to therefore begin with God. “Nearly all the wisdom which we possess, that is to say, true and sound wisdom, consists of two parts: the knowledge of God and the knowledge of self… it is certain that man never achieves a clear knowledge of himself unless he has first looked upon God’s face, and then descends from contemplating him to understand himself… Without knowledge of self there is no knowledge of God… Without knowledge of God there is no knowledge of self.” (John Calvin)
Main idea: You are made to image God.
