This week's Sermon: "The Resurrection Renews Hope" (1 Corinthians 15)

If the resurrection is not true then there can be no real and lasting hope in our lives or for our world. This is exactly what the Apostle Paul argues in his first letter to the Corinthians. He says that if Christ wasn’t raised from the dead then we are all still in our sins and all is lost, but because the resurrection is real we have a real and lasting hope. “When we learn to read the story of Jesus and see it as the story of the love of God, doing for us what we could not do for ourselves--that insight produces, again and again, a sense of astonished gratitude which is very near the heart of authentic Christian experience.” (NT Wright)

Main idea: The resurrection renews hope.
