This week's Sermon: "The Relationship at the Center of the Universe" (Ephesians 4:4-6)

As he talks about the church, Paul describes a perfect unity in Ephesians 4:4-6 that is rooted in the unity of God the Father, Son and Spirit. Our reality looks a lot different from this. But because the Trinity is the relationship at the center of the universe, the church can, should, and must walk in interdependent relational unity with one another.

This week's New City Catechism Question #15:
Since no can keep the law, what is its purpose?

Answer: That we may know the holy nature and will of God, and the sinful nature and disobedience of our hearts; and thus our need of a Savior. The law also teaches and exhorts us to live a life worthy of our Savior.

Thanks to those who have responded so far by signing up to support the work of Hands At Work in Africa at $20- per child per month. We are continuing to accept pledges. The severity of the drought in southern Africa is of an unprecedented level, and many will not survive the food crisis. We support HAW because when we look at how the care workers in Malawi are self-sacrificially serving the poorest of the poor who have become invisible to the world, we learn something about how we are supposed to live out Christ’s command to love our neighbors as ourselves right here in San Francisco. Please look for or contact Julie Chin at the Resource Table during the break and after the Service.

Church Family Picnic next Sunday, April 24th at Off the Grid at the Presidio. Please join us!

Men's Outing: Saturday, May 7th, 9 AM - 2 PM. Pacifica hike and Gorilla BBQ afterwards! Email Mark if you're interested!
Mission Highlight: Thanks Jeff for sharing with us the updates at Grace Alameda, our sister church we planted and sent with Wellspring Church. We praise and thank God for the fruitful and growing ministry at Grace Alameda, by His Spirit and grace. Due to the growth of the church, they are appointing an associate pastor to help lead the church with Jeff. This year, Jeff and Grace Alameda are also leading the the summer mission trip to visit our family in Malawi with Hands at Work. Also a new and wonderful need is one for a larger, permanent space. Let's join Grace Alameda in prayer for this need, and for God to continue to bless, guide and provide for them, that they may bear much good fruit!
