This week's Sermon: "Hope and the Servant" (Isaiah 41-66)
What motivates you to love God and live for him? Often it can seem like a carrot and stick scenario in the Bible. We can very easily read different passages and conclude that the lesson is follow the rules and things will go well. Break these rules and things will not. But if we take a step back and look at what God is doing in the whole history of humanity, we see that it is not a scenario of do good get good, do bad get bad. God motivates with love and grace based on your identity. God is not after a performance-based relationship. You are an image bearer of God that has been redeemed and united to Christ. Understanding who God is and who we are changes the way we live.
Main Idea: The Servant is Lord.
