This week's Sermon: "Like Father Like Sons and Daughters"  (Ephesians 5:1)

Big Idea: Kids look like and often act like their parents. And Paul says, “ Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children” (Eph. 5:1). Like kids imitate their parents, we are to imitate God.

Question #25: Does Christ's death mean all our sins can be forgiven?
Answer: Yes, because Christ's death on the cross fully paid the penalty for our sin, God graciously imputes Christ's righteousness to us as if it were our own and will remember our sins no more.

Christ Church Members: please fill out diaconate response forms by July 17th!

Church Family Picnic, Sunday July 24, after service. At Rick's tree at Off the Grid at the Presidio.
Our dear friends and former members of Christ Church, Jane and Arthur, received news on 5/27/16 that their daughter, Ashley, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Less than three weeks after her initial diagnosis, a DNA test showed she has a very rare form of leukemia called masked hypodiploid ALL. The general "cure" rate for pediatric ALL is 90%+. Ashley has a 30% chance of living more than 3 years. This form of leukemia is resistant to chemo so she will be needing a stem cell transplant.

We hosted a bone marrow drive at
Christ Church of San Francisco on Sunday, July 3rd @ 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM. We are looking for donors who are between 18 to 44 years old. If you couldn't make it, you can register at a drive or register online.

If you don't meet the criteria, you can also help with setting up a donor drive, volunteering at our upcoming drives, or make a contributionFor more info, visit www.aadp.org or email info@aadp.org

We thank God for everyone who was able to sign up on Sunday, and let us continue to pray for Ashley and her family.
Thank you Pastor Jeff for preaching and updating us on our sister church, Grace Alameda. For those of you who don't know, he and his family were part of the Christ Church plant and went on to plant Grace Alameda in 2012. God is at work at Grace Alameda! Here are a few specific ways:
  • New pastor on staff!
  • New meeting place and time - Calvary Baptist Church (2521 Santa Clara Ave) Sundays at 10am.  Praise God for his faithfulness!
  • Grace Alameda baptized eight new believers last month - three adults and five children (including Jeff's son!) Praise God for his saving grace!
  • Grace is leading the team to Malawi this year.  The team consists of 10 people from Grace Alameda.  Please pray for the team. They are leaving later this month. Please also consider supporting them financially!
Let's keep praying for and praising and serving God with our brothers and sisters at Grace Alameda. How good God is to knit us together as family in Christ!
