Mission Highlight: Thank you, Katelyn, for sharing this week's Mission Highlight. Katelyn works with InterVarsity, a Christian campus ministry, at USF and a few of the college students she mentors have visited and are attending Christ Church as well. Their Journey conference is coming up on October 20-22. The retreat is a great opportunity for college students to set the stage for the rest of the school year in terms of centering their lives on God. Katelyn shared a story about how one year, a college sophomore committed herself to following Christ for the first time during the fall conference and grew to help plant a community group on campus. Many of the students are from working class families, working to cover their costs. About 20-30 students are attending from USF.

If you would like to help and support financially, they are looking for ten more $100 scholarships for students to be able to attend the conference. Another huge way to bless these students is to loan your car for transportation that weekend. Please connect with Katelyn if you are interested in helping in one of these ways!

Please pray for the college students among us at Christ Church, at USF, and for the 200 other students who are attending Journey--that God would speak to them in powerful and mighty ways, and that they would be on the right track for the rest of the year.
Question #38: What is prayer?
Answer: Prayer is pouring out our hearts to God in praise, petition, confession of sin, and thanksgiving.
