Hello parents of babies/toddlers! We are going to have a Baby Dedication on Sunday, March 19th. A baby dedication is a commitment to raise the child up in the Lord and in his ways, and for the church community to commit to encourage and support you to do this. Please email us if your family is interested in being a part of it!

Sunday Recap for February 19, 2017
The Beloved Son

Mission Highlight: This Sunday we heard Mel give us a report from Mcheneka, the village we have a friendship with, about the Life Center that was completed by our ministry partners, Hands at Work. We are so thankful that God is working in Mcheneka and remembering the orphans and their caretakers. Please watch the video if you didn't get a chance to on Sunday. Let us all continue to pray for and support Hands at Work in Mcheneka! Praise God for all that he is doing there!
Question #5: What else did God create?
Answer: God created all things by his powerful Word, and all his creation was very good; everything flourished under his loving rule.
This week's Sermon: "The Beloved Son" (Mark 1:1-13)

We have talked a lot over the last year about how much our reality is shaped by our relationships. That is how God made us as human beings. And it is no less true for the original Apostles. Each of them was profoundly shaped by their relationship with Jesus. These ordinary human beings knew Jesus. They were close friends with Jesus. They ate with him. Lived alongside of him. Prayed with him. Laughed with him. Cried with him. Ministered with him. They knew Jesus. And they were shaped and transformed by that relationship. God inspired the Gospel of Mark to be written so that we would believe in Jesus. So that we would know Jesus even as his original Apostles knew him, in life-transforming and intimate relationship.
Main Idea: Believe in the gospel of the Beloved Son.
