Sunday Recap for February 26, 2017:
The Holy One of God

Hello parents of babies/toddlers! We are going to have a Baby Dedication on Sunday, March 19th. A baby dedication is a commitment to raise the child up in the Lord and in his ways, and for the church community to commit to encourage and support you to do this. Please email us if your family is interested in being a part of it!
Mission Highlight: Praise God for our new members, Mike, Sonny, Lauren, Nancy, Sung Jin, Michelle, and Josh! They affirmed their intention, with God’s help, to live loving and holy lives that reflect Christ; to maintain unity with and mutually encourage others in the body as they serve together; to commit themselves to growing in the truth of God’s Word, and to pray for our church and all in it, as well as those who have not yet put their faith in Christ. Pastor Toby, on behalf of existing members, affirmed the commitment of all to love, encourage, teach, admonish, comfort and exhort them to grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ and His Word.
Question #6: How can we glorify God?
Answer: We glorify God by enjoying him, loving him, trusting him, and by obeying his will, commands, and law.
This Week's Sermon: “The Holy One of God” (Mark 1:16-45)
For almost 2,000 years, followers of Jesus have been discussing, debating, and trying to sort through the full implications of who Jesus is and what it means to follow him. As we read in the Book of Hebrews, Jesus is not out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, he’s experienced it all, yet was without sin. It is this all-powerful, divine Jesus that took on our humanity, that comes alongside of us in our greatest need. We are told that we can come boldly before his throne, ask for any kind of help we need, and he will give it to us. We have access to his power and his love. This is the Jesus we know. This is the Jesus of the Gospel of Mark.
Main Idea: You are invited into deeper relationship with Jesus.
