Mission Highlight: This Sunday, we presented Seng before the congregation for affirming for elder. We have sent out a separate email for this, but if you are member and would like to fill out the form, the link is here.

From the email: "Thank you in advance your time and participation in our elder affirmation process. God has graciously designed the leadership of the Body of Christ to include pastors and elders (Eph. 4:11-161 Tim 3:1-7Titus 1) and deacons and deaconesses (Acts 6:1-71 Tim. 3:8-13) in the local church. We believe that elders are given by God as a gift to his church. We also believe that there is a Biblical pattern of the church being called to “select from among themselves” those leaders whom God has called, gifted, and affirmed. Therefore, we ask our members to participate in praying for and affirming elder candidates. Please take time within the next 4 weeks to pray for Seng and Julie Chin. Our current elders believe that God has called Seng to be installed an an elder at Christ Church and we are grateful for all that God is doing in and through Seng already as our Executive Pastor. We have observed Seng to be a gifted and humble man. We believe he meets all of the qualifications for eldership in Scripture, but we want to hear from all of you as well."
Question #7: What does the law of God require?
Answer: Personal, perfect, and perpetual obedience; that we love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; and love our neighbor as ourselves. What God forbids should never be done and what God command should always be done.
This Week's Sermon: “Son of God and Brother” (Mark 3)
When we read books or watch movies we often begin to identify with particular characters in the story. That is normal and natural, but who we identify with and why can often tell us a lot about ourselves. So much in the Gospel of Mark is written to press you to respond to the story. Which people do you identity with and why? What do you learn about Jesus and yourself from these encounters?
Main Idea: Disciples are part of God’s family.
