Sunday Recap for November 18, 2018:
From Rivalry to Restoration

Question #44: What is baptism?

Answer: Baptism is the washing with water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; it signifies and seals our adoption into Christ, our cleansing from sin, and our commitment to belong to the Lord and to his church.
This Week's Sermon: “From Rivalry to Restoration" (Genesis 48-49)

“The blessing is a gift bestowed on those who cannot claim it as a right.”
- John Sailhamer, Genesis

“But the question is not what we intended ourselves to be, but what He intended us to be when He made us.”
- C.S. Lewis,
Mere Christianity

Main Idea: God is always working for good through restoration.
