Mission Highlight: This week, we prayed for and sent out our Malawi Mission Team--Amanda, Andrew, Becky, Craig, Dani, Janice, Lauren, and Toby--who will be leaving for Malawi on May 20th. Praise God and thank you to all of you who supported us financially through our fundraisers that as of 5/11 we raised $12,713.78. Also, if you would like to stay updated, due to limited internet access, a different member of the team will be posting on our Facebook page every day on what we did that day.

Jon-Paul prayed for us that God go with us, and for everything to go smoothly in terms of travel, logistics, and safety, but also that if things do not go smoothly, that we can trust God's sovereignty and be open to his will. He prayed for the people of Mcheneka and our time there. He prayed also for our church that sends the team, that we be united and a part of the team that goes.

Please continue to pray for us, as your prayers are powerful and so essential to the work of God! The team very much looks forward to sharing with the church to the glory of God when we return!
Link to this Week's Sermon: “Engaging the Enemy" (Ephesians 6:10-20)

“The apostle does not exhort the saints to simply put on temperance in place of drunkenness or for adulterers to put on chastity. Instead he tells them to put on the Lord Jesus Christ, implying that until Christ is put on, the creature is unarmed. It is not the one decked out in morality or philosophical virtues who will repel a full charge of temptation sent from Satan’s cannon. It is the one suited up in the armor that is Christ.” -William Girnel, The Christian in Complete Armor

“Paul expects his readers to think immediately of what their salvation means to them. They have been resurrected with Christ to a position of power and authority in the heavenly places. This position equips them with a greater power than that possessed by their mighty supernatural enemies.”
-Clinton Arnold, Power and Magic
