Sunday Recap for April 28, 2019:
A Praying Life

Mission Highlight: After three weeks of feedback and prayers from the members of Christ Church, we installed Carter Kennedy, Jamin Jantz, and George Chang as elders at Christ Church this Sunday, who are joining Jon-Paul Momsen, Seng Chin, and Toby Kurth on the elder board.

They affirmed their faith in Jesus Christ as their savior, their belief in Scriptures as inerrant and only infallible rule of faith and practice. They committed to submitting to their fellow elders, being zealous and faithful to the gospel, the purity, peace, and unity of the church, to be faithful and diligent in their duties as a Christian and minister of the gospel in private and public and manner of life, and to take personal responsibility in the life of the congregation to oversee the ministry and resources of the church, devoting themselves to prayer, the ministry of the Word, and relying on the grace of God so that the whole church would be blessed.

Then the congregation acknowledged and publicly received these elders, together with the diaconate, as gifts of Christ to the church, and promised to love them, pray for them, work together humbly and cheerfully by the grace of God to accomplish the mission of the church, giving them honor and support, to the glory and honor of God.
